A Feast to Remember: Truffles that are Not Trifling

# If you have never read one of my posts in its entirety, this is the one to do it. Read and you will see why.

Our hosts invited us to a lunch today featuring the products of the farm. Keep in mind that everything you see here was made on the farm. They also have three truffle dogs on site.

The Setting:

This was one room in this 14th century villa were lunch was served.

The Truffle Theme Begins: Antipasto

The White they make on the farm.

The Primi

Truffle pasta and pasta with roasted cherry tomatoes.

The Red made on the farm.

The Segunda: Truffled Egg

Dolce and Cafe and Apperitifo

After eating for almost three hours we toured some of the rooms of the villa. It seems prior to WW2 there was a ceramics factory on the property.  It is now done by a zio(uncle) off property but sold there. The other rooms resemble museums.

After touring the casa the nonna(grandmother) toured the grounds with us. The daughter, Francesca, who made all the Truffle dishes was married in this tiny church.

Great food, great drink and new friends were the result of the meal.
PS:
I bought some products from them.
